Terms of use
The rules for using DailyGames. Short, because the site is simple: play fair and have fun.
Agreement
These terms apply when you use DailyGames, the website and the DailyGames app, run by Fatih Dursun. By playing, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use DailyGames.
The service
DailyGames offers free daily puzzle games on the website and in the app. We may add, change or retire games and features at any time, and the service may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance.
Guests and accounts
You don't need an account: your browser or the app plays as a guest player, and the key to it is stored on your device. If you clear your browser data, delete the app or switch devices, you may lose access to a guest's progress, and we can't always restore it.
In the app you can sign in with Apple or Google to keep your progress and continue on other devices. Keep that account secure; whoever can sign in with it can play as you. You can delete your account in the app at any time, which deletes your progress for good.
Fair play
To keep the games fair and the site running for everyone:
- don't use bots, scripts or other automated tools to play or to find answers;
- don't try to break, overload or get around the site's security or request limits;
- don't use names that are offensive or hateful, or that pretend to be someone else;
- don't manipulate scores or the leaderboards.
We may change names, remove scores or block players who break these rules.
Leaderboards
Rankings are for fun. Points are calculated by our server, and we may correct them or remove entries that look wrong. While the site is young, some leaderboard entries are computer-controlled players; they make way for real players as more people join.
Content and intellectual property
The games, puzzles, design and code of DailyGames belong to Fatih Dursun or their licensors. Some parts are used under their own licences, such as the flag images (from the open-source flag-icons project), the population and area figures in Versus (from GeoNames, CC BY 4.0) and the avatar style (Avataaars, via DiceBear). Historical photos and film stills in Hindsight and Backlot belong to their owners and are credited where possible.
You're welcome to share your results and screenshots for personal, non-commercial use.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep the puzzles correct and DailyGames running, but it is provided as it is, without a promise that it will always be available or free of errors, or that your progress will always be kept.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of DailyGames. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be excluded.
App stores
If you got the app from Apple's App Store or Google Play, the store's own terms also apply to its download and use. These terms are between you and us, not the store: we, not Apple or Google, are responsible for the app and its support.
Privacy
How we handle data is explained in the privacy policy and the cookie policy.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version; if you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.
