Every day at 00:00 UTC, the same moment for everyone in the world. The countdown on the home page, and after each game, shows how long is left until the next set.
No. The first time you play, your browser or the app becomes a guest player. There's no sign-up, email or password: your results, streak, points, name and avatar are saved with that guest player.
In the DailyGames app, yes: sign in with Apple or Google on your profile, and you can continue on any phone you sign in on. On the website your guest player lives in this browser, so another browser or device starts as a new player, and clearing your browser data does the same. Signing in on the website is planned.
Each daily puzzle can be played once, so everyone gets the same fair shot and the leaderboard means something. Your finished game stays on screen with its result, and a new puzzle arrives tomorrow.
Each finished game is worth up to 100 points: 0 if you don't solve it and at least 40 if you do. Fewer attempts, fewer mistakes or a faster time score more.
The leaderboard adds up points for today, this week and all time, across all games or for one game. The scoring guide explains every game.
Finish at least one game a day to keep your streak going. It lasts until the end of the day after your last game (in UTC), so you won't lose it just because you haven't played yet today.
You also get one streak freeze a week (Monday to Sunday). If you miss a day while you have a streak, it's used automatically and keeps your streak going, though the missed day doesn't count. A second missed day in the same week ends the streak.
Badges celebrate milestones: your first win, a perfect 100-point game, streaks of 3, 7, 30 and 100 days, 10 puzzles solved in one game, 10 different games played and a full week of play. They're on your profile, with your progress towards the ones still to earn, and a new one shows up when you finish the game that earned it. Badges count your whole history, so you may already have a few.
The site is in English and Turkish, with more languages planned. Puzzle content, such as Wordsmith words, Pinpoint clues and Quartet groups, is in English for now; country names in the map games are shown in your language.
Tap the star on a game to make it a favourite. Favourites come first in the games list and show up on the home page with today's status. They're saved with your guest player.
Yes. When you finish a game, press Share to send or copy a short summary of your result, without spoilers. The home page can share your whole day.
Yes. Every game is free to play, with no ads and no in-app purchases.
Very little: a random guest ID, the name and avatar you choose, your favourites and your play history. No email address, no ads, no tracking. The privacy policy explains everything, including how to have your data deleted.
